Jeffrey H. Greger serves as Senior Counsel for the firm and has practiced intellectual property law for twenty years with an emphasis on trademark matters. He manages the firm’s trademark practice including responsibilities for copyright and unfair competition matters. His core experience is prosecution and securing federal trademark and copyright registrations for the firm’s international and domestic clients. Additionally, Jeffrey provides trademark registrability and use clearances opinions, searches, negotiates and drafts contracts, assignments, coexistence agreements, and licenses.

A significant portion of Jeffrey’s practice is representing clients in trademark oppositions and cancellations with the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. In contentious matters, Jeffrey has represented many clients as plaintiffs and defendants in federal civil-court trademark, copyright, trade dress, trade secret, cybersquatting, and business contract litigations. Jeffrey provides his clients with practical counsel, gleaned from fifteen years prior business ownership in the commercial construction field.

As part of his practice, Jeffrey handles internet domain name disputes, representing both registrants and respondents in domain name arbitration proceedings under UDRP and ICANN procedures through WIPO and the National Arbitration Forum.

Jeffrey graduated from the New York State University (B.A. psychology) and received his J.D. degree from the Franklin Pierce Law Center and was admitted to the Virginia Bar in 1997. Additional admissions include numerous federal district courts and the U.S. Courts of Appeal.

PRACTICE HIGHLIGHTS

Jeffrey has been lead counsel in over sixty trademark oppositions/cancellations and federal district court litigations. He has argued cases in front of the First, Fourth and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeal, including an En Banc Fourth Circuit precedential case. Jeffrey has obtained numerous trademark injunctions in the federal district courts, with an emphasis of representation in the Eastern District of Virginia, and the Central District of California.
